Our Mission

Holistic Development
We believe that children need to be supported and nurtured physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in order to develop a strong and broad foundation for life-long learning and well-being.
Bringing Happiness
We do everything with and for happiness. We know that happiness in children is linked to psychological well-being which influences cognitive development, social and emotional competence, creativity and maturity.
Nurturing Creativity
We model creativity in all our activities to allow children the freedom to explore new ideas, new ways of problem-solving and new ways to express emotions and experiences.
Collective Wisdom
We join hands with our community and like-minded visionaries to collectively build a brighter future for children in out-of-home care (OoHC) and under-served communities.
Why we do what we do
-
K for Kids was founded in Hong Kong after Kaye identified how overlooked and under-served some communities were in the city. This was particularly shocking, given the abundance of resources and wealth available in a mega city like Hong Kong.
Children in out-of-home care (OoHC) and under-served communities are exposed to an immense amount of stress and trauma from a young age and as a result, require extra support to address their unique needs. Unfortunately, a lack of adequate resources, professional support and little representation in school and the community, leads to further isolation, marginalisation and exclusion.
-
Children are the backbone and future of any society. How we engage and inspire them will have a direct impact on shaping future generations.
Children in out-of-home care (OoHC) are one of the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and traumatised populations in the Hong Kong community. For many of these children, the world and their future can feel bound within the walls of their own circumstances.
-
K for Kids is passionate about raising awareness and bringing the community together to create a ripple of positive impact to children in need.
We know that real change, enduring change can only happen one step at a time. So, we are committed to showing up consistently with our community partners and volunteers to deliver programs, host events and offer support services in hopes to
